Nail polish fans *Image heavy*

For about 5 days I have been working on a project, called mission overview.
I started this out for two reasons, I wanted to be able to see all of my shades at one time - and have the possibility to systemize them in different ways, and I wanted an overview on my polishes, especially to see if I had any dupes. (I had)
I think this project of mine have cost me about 20 polishes. Some were dupes, but the majority were simply colors which I have never used, and never wanted to use.
One of these days a package will therefore be delivered for my little sis. I hope she likes it :)

This it what my collection came down to. I don't have a number on how many I have left. I started out with about 187, I think it's down to 150-ish now.

Well, here goes the process:

First, I had to write every name and brand on the sticks

Then I sorted them into brands

Then I painted every stick with two coats of polish

And THEN I systemized them.
I only had four bolts, so had to be a little creative on the systems. :)

Tadaa!!

It feels really nice to be able so see what I have to chose from, when thinking about a new mani.
I hope this will expand my choise of colors in the future :)

  1. I'm waiting on some fans to come in to do mine.....I'll most likely have to order more as I only ordered 150 & I'm well over 300. It's gonna be a pain.

  2. Awesome, I love this idea. I have over 615 polishes though so this would take me a full week at least! Where did you buy the "fans"?

  3. Nice work - it's such a good feeling!
I love these fans too - I have sorted mine by color.
I also bought screws in different lengths with wing-bolts, but am looking for something that can make it easier so put in a new color in the completely right spot without having to remove some to fit it in...

  5. Hi ladies :)

TrailerHood Chic, yes, it's a pain, but it's AWESOME the moment you're done, it's really worth the trouble.

Marias Nail Polish Blog, If you find a way to add a color without having to take them all out, please do let me know! Am thinking about some kind of a ring, but really don't know where to go and get it.
