A polished phone

I want to show you guys my polished phone :b
I know it's old but it works(and I might get a new one soon) :)
Front. There used to be hearts of polish all the way around the display.
Back when I didn't have that many polishes - mostly Depend - I painted two hearts of every Depend lacquer I had.
One heart around the camera of each Depend polish I had back then. And how I had the bottom of it for a long while.

For those of you who don't know/can't remember which colour it used to be, it's the same silver as around the camera.
Just the other day I painted the side of the phone this turquoiseish blue Kiko polish with shimmer - no. 300
Redecorated the bottom with tea bag.
Se I redecorated the back in same style as it was before the blue polish. Earlier it was a pink tropical fruit tea bag as I recall and now it's some Indian tea in lovely colours ;)

Is you phone also polished? :)

Scotch tape mani

When on vacation here in Denmark I wanted to try out the scotch tape technique.
It turned out like this:

Rimmel - Sorbet So Good, Kiko 343, H&M mini - Dark Purple, Kiko 342, Elf - Metal Madness, Rimmel - Pop Rose

My beloved dog, Bella, checking if everything is allright ;)

Metal look

Today I wanna show you a mani with Depend - no. 223, a lovely silver polish. I've also used it here.
It's metallic and very awesome, it gives a alienlike/robotish look.

What do you guys think about silver polish? ;)

Pink in purple disguise

Mani of the day has some serious wow-effect to it!
Even though it's meant for the toes, I applyed it on my fingers, and instantly loved it!
This "pink" but pretty purple polish is loaded with blue shimmer, which makes a pretty cool effect in the daylight. Take a look at this.

Oh, just needed a little sparkle, of course! - Wet n' Wild sparked!

Do you see the effect with the blue shimmer?

Sparkles filled with OPI turns out like this!

Pretty festive!

Festive ring finger with the lovely i think - purple all around it ! :)

Just one more glimpse of the effect. Love love love glitter!
Think I feel like a princess wearing it!

What's your favorite effect, what kind of polish can save your day?

Swatching my mums old polishes

I decided to swatch my mums' old polishes. Years ago she told me that I could use them as much as I wanted.
Now I finally did
6 of the lacquers are Constance Carroll Diamond Gloss and it surprised me how nice the consistency is after all these years. The colours are called Plum Wine, Sunburst, Sunglow, Copper Dust, Firebird & Ruby Sorbet. They're all redish shimmer polishes and Ruby Sorbet has gold shimmer in it. The last four lacquers are random brands and one of them also had a great consistency while the three others was awful. You can also see this in the pictures.
I'm not really a fan of red/pinkish polishes but some of them were kind of nice :)

Pop rose goes bad kitty

Mani of the day is a bright, summery one!
For this one I used pop rose, as you can see on the picture beneath, together with Sorbet So Good, a polish from Rimmel as well.

I really love these polishes, because the brush is very thick and flat. On the pinky I only need one stroke to paint the whole nail!

Thought it needed something, so I added 2 coats of Ghina Glaze Bad Kitty on top of the Sorbet So Good. The Kitty has got a little bit of holo in it, but couldn't get the camera to show you guys.

Attempted photo of the holo effect

How do you guys get the holo effect to show on your photos?

Creative little sis

As I mentioned yesterday, I spent the evening with my little sis.
Look what she was wearing!
I love that she has gotten hooked on the mani thing as well!

The stuff she used making it (some of it I brought home from the holidays as souvenirs)

We found some tape and look what we made!
Showed her one of the designs and suddenly there was a different design on every finger. Pretty festive I think :)

Some close ups

Didn't get to take a picture of the polishes we used, but I know that the base color - the orange one is Mavala - wakiki orange

The freehand that got out of hand

Yesterday I wanted to do a freehand mani.
Never did one like this before, but thought it turned out ok.
I especially like the contrast between the green Cliché and the neon-yellow CG polish.
Here's some photos from the process

Thought it needed a little more to it

And just a wee bit more

The polishes I used for the mani

Gosh - Silver, Essence Nail art - mysterious black, Cliché - Khaki, China Glaze Yellow Polka Dot Bikini,
China Glaze - Sun Worshiper

Spent the evening with my little sis, and the freehand mani got a little out of hand. :)
Wanted to show her some options for a mani with nothing but a toothpick and a polish. Think I got her hooked up on the polish-thing too, that's going to be great! :)

Did anyone of you guys ever show nailart related stuff for your friends and family and got them hooked on the mani thing too?

Kiko!

Finally!
The sun is here!
Nothing better to do than to try out the new glitter polishes you've bought, just to find out that they are holos!
I really love this fact!
You can see it on the picture beneath, for the dark one that is.

The pink polish was so sparkling! Ufortunately I couldn't catch it on my camera, so you will just have to dream about the holo effect :)

The polish was really easy to apply, it's pretty nice actually :)
Have to admit that i'm more than satisfied with the Kiko's, just wished I'd bought more when I was in Spain :)

247 - Fuchsia Microglitter (the bright one) 246 - Mirtillo Rosso Scuro Microglitter (the dark one)

Bond, James Bond

Today I'm having a James Bond Marathon and of course I need matching nails ;)
Here's what I came up with:

If you can't tell  it's the gun barrel you always see in the beginning of the movies :)

Again everything is free hand with my little brush and I used the lacquers: Rival de Loop - 30, Depend - white & red (the numbers have been worn out)

My right hand. I tried to do a matching design but I kinda screwed it up. Two of the fingers got smudged when I applied top coat but let's just pretend it's on purpose and it looks like blood ;)
I finished it off with Seche Vite fast dry top coat.
So how do you guys like it? :)
