Aruba blue meets matte

This design was one I did when I had a cold about a week ago (while studying for an exam of course). I did it all free hand, and used Essie - Aruba blue, Golden Rose - 12, and China Glaze - Nova.

Inspired by my recently made nail polish fans I decided to use some different colors for a random mani.

This is how it turned out..

Polishes used:

Tiger - white., Alix Avien - Don't remember the number, Essence - Catwalk pink, Milani - Hottest pink

Deborah Lippmann - Wicked game *Image heavy*

NOTD is DL, Wicked Game.
This polish is a duo chrome, it is both green and purple.
Earlier I had some problems with this polish being to sheer for me, I then asked my fellow addicts on Facebook and were adviced to try a purple polish underneath.
Oh my, this worked!
Have a look :)

(Btw, don't know what's up with the bubbles)

I had a hard time making the purple clear, I then put on the flash, and here it is :)
-Sorry for the over exposed- white picture

Nail polish fans *Image heavy*

For about 5 days I have been working on a project, called mission overview.
I started this out for two reasons, I wanted to be able to see all of my shades at one time - and have the possibility to systemize them in different ways, and I wanted an overview on my polishes, especially to see if I had any dupes. (I had)
I think this project of mine have cost me about 20 polishes. Some were dupes, but the majority were simply colors which I have never used, and never wanted to use.
One of these days a package will therefore be delivered for my little sis. I hope she likes it :)

This it what my collection came down to. I don't have a number on how many I have left. I started out with about 187, I think it's down to 150-ish now.

Well, here goes the process:

First, I had to write every name and brand on the sticks

Then I sorted them into brands

Then I painted every stick with two coats of polish

And THEN I systemized them.
I only had four bolts, so had to be a little creative on the systems. :)

Tadaa!!

It feels really nice to be able so see what I have to chose from, when thinking about a new mani.
I hope this will expand my choise of colors in the future :)

Mani of the day is really ordinary.
It is as close as you'd get to boring, though not quite.
The color is somewhat between grey and navy green, looks really classy I think.
Also, is goes perfectly to my red-ish blazer. (no pics, sorry)
Some clothes are just impossible to mix with painted nails, but these two go well together, fortunately :)

Here it is, Pastel number somewhat (forgot :))

Master painter goes mani

Today I am going to show you what a mani looks like, when you spend all of your day painting an apartment, and forget to use gloves.
Some of the nails look king of awesome I think, it's exactly this kind of randomness that you sometimes try to catch, just use your day painting, then it will be there, I promise.

The only drawback about this is that the painting is still underneath my nails, lol!

Crack my polish

This is the first time i've ever used one of my crack polishes.
I bought three when I was in Ankara, all of them from the brand Pastel. The colors were black, as you see in the pictures, white and silver.
I must admit, I wasn't to fond of crack polishes in the first place, I thought it made a mani look messy.
Anyway, I think this turned out pretty neat, probably due to the two-color underneath.

I've used Pastel - Black crack polish, China Glaze - Re-fresh mint and Sally Hansen - Fairy teal

Late new years mani

Finally I got the time to show you guys my new years mani.
The purple is Gosh - Violet, and then I added China Glaze - Techno and Nova for glitter-dots.
I wanted it to look like leopard marks, but am not sure whether I think I succeeded or not :)

Sorry about the pictures, I don't think I got to do them before dinner, you know how those things are :)

Meet me on the star ferry

Todays mani was really a swatch on my recently purchased OPI, Meet me on the star ferry.
Though, I thought it could use some extra, so I added some Konad stamps to it.
By the way, on these pictures I'm not wearing any topcoat

Pink it up!

This one I picked up in Ankara in november.
I'm wearing 3 coats, yet it doesn't seem to cover anyway, still seethrough, what a shame.
I really like the color, it almost looks electric in these winter days.

Spiced it a little up/or down with some holo hearts on every 2'nd one :)

Have any of you girls got some experience with Pastels?
